Leargas Family Literacy and Numeracy Partner Finding Contact Seminar 22nd Nov 07 Grundtvig Partnership Contact Seminar – Family Literacy & Numeracy 22nd -25th November 2007- Ennis, Co. Clare We are pleased to announce that Léargas will be holding a partner finding contact seminar in Ennis, Co. Clare on the theme of Family Literacy & Numeracy. The purpose of this seminar is to facilitate the development of Grundtvig Partnership Projects that would look at the literacy and numeracy in the family context. The theme of family learning is a current one and we look forward to seeing the wonderful projects that are developed as a result of this seminar. How to Develop a Family Approach to Active Citizenship 27th Feb 08 A 3 day training taking place in the Clare Education Centre, Kilrush Road, Ennis, Co. Clare on 27th, 28th and 29th February 2008. Cancelled: Supporting Parents of Junior Cert Maths Students 12th Sep 08 Unable to run this due to low numbers. May run in 2009. This one day training will take place on 12th September in Ennis. It is targeted at tutors who are comfortable teaching maths. Tutors will be able to pass onto parents a range of ways of supporting their student, using resources, use of terminology, online resources and learning styles. Course costs €75 includes light lunch. Book now! 15th Oct 08 This two day training will cover how to integrate active citzenship into family learning programmes easily. Grundtvig Family Learning Training for Trainers 25th Nov 08 The Clare Family Learning Project has been successful in getting Leargas validation for running a 5 day international family learning tutor training 13th - 17th October 2009. This is available to download from: http://ec.europa.eu/education/trainingdatabase/index.cfm?fuseaction=DisplayCourse&cid=15841 Irish tutors are also welcome to attend for 3 days: 13th, 14th and 15th October The final two days for the international visitors includes field visits to family learning in action and a cultural immersion programme.
