Lovely to have our new resource worker Clare Sheahan on board in family learning.
Set up 19 family learning programmes in 11 towns countywide with 11 tutors delivering 13 different types of courses (See our website for more information).
Delivered Family Learning Tutor Training in January to 20 participants from all over Ireland.
Had our fourth FACE –IT! Project meeting in Marseille, France in January.
Delivered FACE – IT! National Training - ‘How to Develop a Family Approach to Active Citizenship’ in February to 13 participants reaching 11 counties.
Visited North, South, East and West Clare to promote Family Learning to new groups.
Updated our Active Citizenship skills and knowledge with Sr. Bernadette, Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice, who visited us in Clare in February with a training session: ‘After the Elections’.
Developed new Family Health module and piloting this at present.
Promotion of Family Learning to new groups, visitors to the project and the NUIG access officer.
Have developed new partnerships with Clare Women’s Network and Citizens Information Service.
Had a meeting with Helen Murphy, Waterford Insititute of Technology re: accreditation of Clare Family Learning Tutor Training at level 6. Please let us know by mid April if anyone is interested in this topic as the response to date has been very poor. Thanks.
